A few years back, the band Jellyfish had this great sound that kind of mashed together the Beach Boys and Queen. It was a really well done with tight harmonies. If anything, you might remember their song "The King is Half Undressed." That was about as big a splash as they made, despite critic raves.

Anyway, the lead of the band was Andy Sturmer, and it seems he's been spending time since then on a bunch of side projects as a session musician and song writer. I haven't found much to match the quality of Jellyfish, though.

Now it seems he's turned his attention, with the help of a few others, to producing a little pastiche tribute to E.L.O (another band featuring tight harmonies). They've done a pretty good job of it, and developed a few really catchy numbers all while sticking to the signature Electric Light Orchestra sound. The group name is L.E.O (cute, huh) and the album, Alpacas Orgling, is available on iTunes – or at least on iTunes US site.

Glad to see you back, Andy!
