I'm a big kid at heart. I love comic books. I love toys, and I love climbing trees. There's something exhilarating about getting off the ground. I don't love the feeling of free fall – so staying attached is a good thing, and you won' find me jumping from an airplane – but trees offer height while keeping you rooted to the earth.
That's why Saturday rocked!
Three hours of scaling rope ladders, crossing tightwires, and sliding on ziplines – all well above the ground. Four of us went to Lafleche Adventures in Val-Des-Monts for this tree-top obstacle course. It was very similar to last year's adventure at Camp Fortune, but Lafleche added some extreme zip lines to the mix – which stretch for over 1000 feet high up the sides of the Gatineau hills. Super fun!
Lafleche also has a second course called the summit adventure. It's apparently tougher, higher, and more integrated into the surroundings. It even includes some rock climbing. We're definitely going back before the end of the season.
