Yesterday’s post about our summer trip to Sherbrooke was a bit heavy. It really didn’t convey just how nice it was to relax in the Eastern Townships with my Dad and my Step Mother, Louise. Yes, we touched on family history over the course of the weekend, but that was just a small part of our time together.
All in all we spent three days just visiting and wandering around Lennoxville, Magog, North Hatley and Ayer’s Cliff. It was a beautiful, low-key long weekend and we’re looking forward to doing it again when the opportunity next presents itself.
We took a small selection of photos, but unfortunately I can’t share them just now. I’m working around Junkii’s busy schedule and he hasn’t had time to process any of them. So it’ll have to wait a little longer before I can share the few nice shots we managed to take. [UPDATE: The photos are processed and available at our SmugMug site.]
I WAS able to get him to work on one photo however: A family portrait. One of my primary goals on this get-together was to get a new family photo of the four of us. The last group shot we have together was taken at a cottage we rented together back in 2008. Junkii has never liked that photo because it was at a time when he had gained a lot of weight.
Now that he has pumped up the muscles and trimmed down the fat, I think he was eager to spend a few minutes processing this photo. He’ll be anxious to put his old chubby self away for good.
Now we just need to get this printed and mounted with the rest of our family photos.
