Despite being raised in Moncton – as famous for its disappointing tourist attractions as for its lack of food culture – I’ve made tremendous progress in experiencing the foods of the world. Ottawa provides ready access to an array of cuisines – both cheap and, well, not so cheap – and my passion for travel takes me to the corners of the earth where culinary treasures await. I credit my mother for instilling my love of food – in particular, sweets. Never eat dessert in a restaurant. Nothing compares to homemade. Everything else is fair game. Mmmmm, game.

I’ve been blogging since 2006 – mainly to keep in touch with friends and family. You can see photos – the good ones, anyway – via my ex’s SmugMug account. You can also check out my travel blog – Safarii – as well as the blog I kept on my first trip to Asia with my ex: Junkii’s Junket.

Hi! I’ve seen you comment on some of Freedom’s posts. I decided to come and say hi after reading your blog about your trip to Asia. I was initially drawn to it because I was adopted from Vietnam 35 years ago when I was three months old. I’ve not been back so seeing photos and hearing about it interests me. But I found myself engrossed in reading about your entire trip!

I am making my blog private so people don’t have to use a password. You are among six that wordpress says it “cannot find.” I will continue to try to figure out how to add you all. Not sure why the problem. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
    Sincerely,
    Freedom
